Why are panels different in size and output?

Solar panels are used for a variety of applications from a small garden solar light to space stations and satellites. The use of the solar product determines the size of the panel. In residential solar systems the large panels with average outputs from 250W to 370W are used. LG's 285W, 300W and 380W panels have been optimised to give you the best value for money.
