How does the LG Dealer Network help me?
When I started as the General Manager for LG in about 2010, 2011, I'd been in the industry already half a decade, and I literally knew the good guys in the industry. So I went and traveled around and recruited, all up we recruited now over 75 dealers Australia wide. We have a bit of a motto, with the fish that John West reject makes John West the best. We want the best solar installers in the network.
What do they have to do? They have to really focus on customer service, we don't want to have rubbish left behind. We don't have want to have tiles broken. We don't have the tiles not put in properly again so that there's water ingress in the roof, et cetera, et cetera. Those issues we do not have with the network, because these people have to represent our brand.
Also most importantly, from a design point of view, they need to know the right solution for the customer. They need to know what they're doing when they shade, they need to know which way the panels would possibly be pointing, the best way to get the best solution for the customer. So the dealer network is really experts that have a proper code of ethics to perform to, and give the customer the best solution that is their individual solution.
Nobody's bigger than the LG brand. You cannot represent the LG brand and do the wrong thing by the customer. Not possible, because if you do that once or twice, you're not with us anymore. So we really make sure that the customer service is second to none. The output of the system is at maximized, the return to the customer is maximized.
I'll give you an example, why is it important to have really good solar design? Years ago I had a nurse in Adelaide complaining the solar system wasn't doing anything. She was leaving at two o'clock, three o'clock in the morning, she come back at two o'clock in the afternoon, she was baking a lot for the nieces and nephews.
That put the panels on the East. It was producing all the electricity when she was out of the house and when she was using her electricity in the afternoon, there was nothing much produced. Those panels needed to go on the West to actually match her consumption pattern. That type of thing is what the LG solid dealer will assess and properly analyze and give the right advice.
